Tip Top (was Jang Kie) was established in 1929 and still exist until the present days. During that era, the colonialists were overwhelmed by the heat of Medan. As how colonialists everywhere would do, they wanted to set up a place where they can feel more like home. Hence, an ice cream parlor was built and it was a hit.
If now you go to Medan and visit Tip Top, please try their ice cream, nasi goreng spesial Tip Top and bistik lidah. Our palates were satisfied.
